Steep Creek LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Construction Division. This position supports all estimating and preconstruction efforts under the guidance of the Strategy & Planning Manager. The ideal candidate is passionate about construction, dependable, punctual, attentive to detail, and takes direction well.
Proactively identify new bid opportunities weekly and maintain the global bid schedule. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, equipment, and labor. Solicit, evaluate and compile quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Review and interpret plans and specifications for multiple projects concurrently. Participate in planning, pre-bid, and other construction-related meetings. Assist in developing Construction Management Plans and communicate effectively with Division Leads and Superintendents. Identify potential risks, errors, or ambiguities in project proposals and coordinate with owners and engineers for timely clarification. Attend on-site job training at least twice per month.
